Please join us at Jessica's home for JLKD 101- a required orientation for new members joining the League. Transferring members are also welcome but it's certainly not optional. It's a casual morning designed to help new members meet other members and learn the basics of JLKD 101.
Monthly Board Meeting. Agenda provided in advance.
Join us for the first book club of 2018 to discuss The Arrangement by Sarah Dunn.
Lucy and Owen have taken the plunge and traded their cramped apartment in New York for Beekman, an idyllic Hudson Valley exurb. They've got a two hundred year-old house, an autistic son obsessed with the Titanic, and 17 chickens, at last count. When friends at a wine-soaked dinner party reveal they've made their marriage open, sensible Lucy balks. There's a part of her, though-the part that worries she's become too comfortable being invisible-that's intrigued. Why not try a short marital experiment? Six months, clear ground rules, zero questions asked.
Read the book to find out the hilarious results and be ready to discuss the “arrangement” and if the quirky residents of Beekman remind us of any of our own.
Beth will provide pizza, feel free to bring your favorite beverage or appetizer/dessert.
To review grant and scholarship applications and select the awards' recipients. Light refreshments will be provided.
